What is the hardest part of the writing process for you?
------------------
For me, it's big scenes. They're usually very complicated, with a lot of things going on that have to work together just right and lots of emotion, and I just know it isn't going to come out the way I have it worked out in my head. That's where I set my timer and just write for the sake of getting the words down, knowing that later I can go back and work on it until it's just right.

Continuing something from where I left off on a day or so before. The idea that I had is gone. Gotta come up with a new one. Oh, and anything that doesn't have much action. The Traveler was easy for me to write because each part was 300 words and fairly action-y. I am currently attempting to write Population: 200, but it's just not action-y enough. It always was my least favorite of my ideas...

Continuing something from where I left off on a day or so before. The idea that I had is gone. Gotta come up with a new one. my trick for avoiding that problem is to stop while I still have one more sentence i want to write. Or I write half of it and then stop. It's hard to do, but helps me know where to start next time.

The only problem with that is that it usually when I'm writing in school, during study hall. When the bell rings, I can't stay, I have to go right then. And I've tried stopping halfway through a sentence, and, to put it mildly, it failed miserably. It ended not making sense...

ooh, yeah, okay. having to stop at a particular time that you have no control over can mess you up.
I haven't used the stopping in the middle of a sentence trick very often - it is hard to do. Mostly when I'm afraid I won't know what to write after that sentence. Sometimes picking up with the conclusion of an idea I already had gets the ball rolling the next time I sit down to write, sometimes it doesn't.
