Here is a tool to help you keep your goals for wordcounts.... I found this during NaNoWriMo in Nov. and have contined to use it since then so I don't have any excuses. (did you know that, when under pressure, you can write about 1500-2000 words in a little over an hour?!?!?!) writeordie.drwicked.com/

I haven't had the guts to try kamikazi mode yet either!! That's a little TOO much pressure for me!
But the site is awesome for those of us (not *me* though.... hahaha) who need a little push to keep them on task. (not that *I* wuld ever need that push.... noooooo)

I just tried Kamikaze mode. Gave up after seven minutes. I can't deal with it deleting my words. That kind of punishment is just too much. I also had the grace period on 'Evil.' I think I'll just stick with normal now.

LOL, during National Novel Writing Month, a lot of people *claim* to use kamikaze mode. i think you have to be insane or not care if what comes out is complete randomness to do that a lot.

Yes to both. There was no time to think, just to write. And I don't know about other people, but I can't just write randomness and have it look good.

When my mind is completely focused and I'm not being distracted, I can write an entire chapter (5000ish words) in about 6 - 8 hours
