I want to keep the rules to a minimum, but we do need a few.
1. Please make sure you're clear on what this site is and is not. No posting full-length works, no offering up critiques or "constructive" criticism (except where specifically asked for on the "Help!" board). No asking if anyone knows a good agent.
1a. Post length: No limits on post length, other than the 60,000 characters allowed by proboards. If you want to post an exerpt or short work (vignette or short story), it has to all fit in one comment (60,000 characters or less).
2. This site is about being supportive, not tearing people down. Please respect your fellow members' work, vision, and individuality. No disparaging of the political, religious, social, and/or lifestyle orientations, choices, and beliefs of the other members of the group.
3. I anticipate members as young as early to mid-teens, so keep it clean. Stick to a PG-13 rating at most on comments and posted excerpts. If you've got a question about if something is okay, you can e-mail or private message me with it. (And I mean *really* PG-13, not "should have been an R but the director and the studio politicked for a PG-13 and took out two seconds of whatever.") Please see the "Please Rate Your Site" Thread on the "Where Are You?" board for clarification of ratings standards. Note - ProBoards terms of use also put a PG-13 limit on site content.
4. No politics. Period. Just, don't.
Hopefully, these four rules will cover just about anything that might come up. I reserve the right to add additional rules or add clarification to these rules as the need arises (which, hopefully, it won't.) I don't want to have to boot anyone out, but I will if they persist in willfully breaking these rules.
