I just wrote a Sonnet. It follows a similar line to my Haiku, but with happy parts in it.

Life can get you down, pound you to the ground
It can harm you many different ways
Sometimes loud, but often without a sound
Relentlessly attacking through the days
But light can shine through the darkest of nights
Pierce through evil as a savior for you
It is there to stop and end all your plight
You may not think it, but it is quite true
Good and bad come and go, like fading tides
Which is next to come to you, you don't know
Don't give up when darkness hits, do not hide
Fight through it so that, when over, you grow
Stand through the pain, the fight, the suffering
Because, can you see that, the dark's bluffing


In other words, don't give up. It's not always what it seems.

I'm particularly proud with this because... well... For one, it's a Sonnet, and other people said it was very hard to create. I found it a bit easy. That, and... it's... inspirational to me. :3

good job with this! (and don't apologize for starting new topics - start as many as you like! ;D ) I think sonnets do have a reputation for being hard to write because it's such a strictly-defined form.

I help with an online support group for anxiety, depression, and things like that (cweenmj, who is a member here, started it), and I think this poem would be really inspirational to people there. would you mind if I post it there, or post a link to it?
